and tell me about the stuff she does or tried to include me. now gives a half effort of responding to like one text here and there and acts like she doesn't even want to talk to me and won't answer my texts wondering how it went or nada. is it a dead horse? oh, but she WILL respond IMMEDIATELY if I bring up she's not talking to me. everytime? I've been giving her a lot of leeway too, and brushing it off as much as I can too, but strangers on the internet respond more than she does...

It's a lost cause. I know it's easier said than done, but cut your losses and move on. She doesn't care about you as a friend anymore, she just doesn't want to see herself as a bad person and that's the only reason she responds.

That's why I generally don't understand why CE is always quick to say "dump her/cut her off", it's never always that simple. However friendship is also always a two-way street and sometimes people just change for the worse for unexplainable reasons.

I'm quick to say it because I had to do it and it helps. She's not right for you, maybe something changed, like she turned into a lying whore like my ex. You gotta cut it and move on.

I was quick to suggest ending it because I've been in the same situation many times in the past and 9/10 times it's a waste of time to even try. You can't force someone to change back into what they used to be. It's sad, but sometimes even when you both want it to work out it's not always possible even then. Once it gets to a point where it's a struggle to get a word out of them it's just over.
