Bleh Sand Rush. Yeah, that was why a while back I mentioned not expecting anything great if you decided to let me evolve, since I would lose Pick Up upon evolution and all the best stuff is acquired at high levels.

ooh i must have just overlooked this part. if i had paid attention i might have found out before that Lenora's Herdier had Intimidate

i seriously thought this was going to be easy mode for the rest of the early/mid game because 125 base attack is sooo strong at this point.

oh yeah and i will not stop evolutions so whenever a pokemon gets to the level where it evolves, that's it. it's evolving.

i'll do more research for stone evolutions like Bane the Munna and evolve when possible after seeing moves.

Nah, I actually agree with that. I like to allow Pokemon to evolve when it happens. I've only stopped evolution like 3 times in my whole life, and I'm pretty sure I had a good reason for it each time.

I looked up the Lillipup line's abilities. To get Intimidate as a Herdier, the Lillipup wound need Vital Spirit.

For Munna, it depends on how you intend to play. It learns Psychic at 37 (bear in mind Psychic is also TM you can find lying on the ground later on). If you want to play the Hypnosis + Dream Eater game it learns Dream Eater at 41 (also a TM, found in the Dreamyard). If you want to play the Calm Mind + Stored Power tactic, it learns that at 47

well during regular playthroughs, i'll stop evolutions all the time when i like the pre-evo forms more and want to get through the game with them (Chikorita and Fennekin come to mind).

and Dream Eater is definitely a no-go.

Soon after, both Santa and Raka both had 1 HP situations from crits while training.

This is like the third time Rakas been close to death.

Because Sandile was at level 16 which is when it learns Assurance, it had Bite overwritten. Bite's like the best move it has for a while until Crunch at 28 and first decent ground move it actually learns is Dig at 32.

well actually i did get up to beating all the trainers in the third gym. nothing eventful happened so i'll do the gym battle tomorrow morning maybe.

i think there's actually a trainer or two i can still battle for the exp just to be safe. mnk is at 21 and i can go up to 23.

so strategy talk i guess. mnk has to be the star this time around. half the team is weak to bug so i won't be taking them although I did briefly think about taking Santa the Sandile for Intimidate. probably will not happen. moveset is too underwhelming right now that Intimidate doesn't make up for it.

so starting from now, all the gyms have 3 Pokemon which means i'll be taking 3 every time. i think in addition to mnk, the other 2 are just going to be Kira and Blue the Patrat just by process of elimination.

Seems like the best team for Burgh.

Just according to keikaku. Bugs are nothing. We set up bombs in the gym and walk out, not looking at the explosions behind us. The huge city of Castelia is under our control now, and occupation of such a bustling city will serve us greatly in terms of resources.

There's Lostlorn Forest attached to Route 16, and Relic Castle in Desert Resort (which would be a guaranteed Yamask since you already have a Sandile, though if you wait until the game lets you explore lower floors you could try for Cofagrigus instead).
