Taka Leon Hiyoko Bad Peko Hifumi Monokuma Hiro Celeste Kazuichi Garbage Mikan Teruteru Toko why the fuck is this squeaky masochistic diaper bunny a main character Usami/Monomi Byakuya's appearance in 2 made him go up a bit for me (I like him just a bit more now, knowing he stayed with the other survivors to help fix the world instead of just continuing to be an asshole) Fat Byakuya was kind of a wasted potential. I really thought him being the Ultimate Imposter would come up again but then it never did so what was even the point? Sonia started pretty low but gradually got better. Never got a ton of characterization but she was great in the funhouse trial Baby Gangsta went from being one of the worst characters to one of the best, and probably had the best growth as a character of anyone Peko was neutral until her last scene, which kind of sucked, mostly for dragging out a kind of dumb thing WAY too long Mahiru's only not top tier because she died so quick. Same probably applies for Chihiro. Most of the people in the good-great section could be shuffled around depending on the day. Also hard to compare characters who had excellent growth (Baby Gangsta, Nagito) to characters who just had few but great standout scenes (Junko, Gundham) and characters who get points for being adorable (Aoi, Mahiru) Monokuma I never liked much (never really go for mascot characters in general, and he was particularly annoying more often than not) but Monomi was the worst thing to happen in either of the games by a mile. Worst BGM theme in the game, horrible design (why is it in a diaper?!?), and the interactions between Monomi and Monokuma ranged from annoying to so cringe-worthy I wanted to shut the game off. What the fuck was with the brother/sister thing? Why is this ok? Puts everything that happened in the game in such a weird light, it's actually really cool to think about. I just wish it had included like one picture of them as Remnants of Despair, just something to make it a little easier to believe, because even after the game confirms it it's hard for your brain to actually process that all the nice characters were actually horrifying killers and monsters prior to the game.
