Costs $250 to become an NRA certified instructor in a pistol course, and $10/year for the license upkeep.

Charge $100/person, and teach 8-15 people per class, and do it once a month; make some side money, deduct my guns and ammo as a business expense, deduct a laptop and projector and whatnot that's required to teach the class as a business expense..............

.........................I can't really see anything negative about this.

CE, destroy my dream.

I have a full time job. This is literally just for fun/hobby. Also, realistically, there's the liability insurance I need to get ($300/year for $1mil coverage from the NRA) and the rental cost for the range that will eat into the "profit". I'll be happy if I can get enough profit to buy me more guns/ammo =D.

The NRA is a pile of crap and their certification is a waste of money.

I know some states, you are required to get training before you can even buy a pistol (or need training to conceal carry), and the NRA basic pistol course counts as that training. However, in my state, you don't need any of that. So "business" might be slow.

I don't actually believe any person is actually against gun ownership, but rather is against irresponsible gun ownership.
