Ted Shaughnessy was shot dead on March 2nd with his wife, Corey was able to get away and called 911 at 4:45am to report an intruder after hearing gunshots in the house Police arrived to find Ted's dead body in the kitchen with multiple gunshot wounds and the couple's DOG was also killed in a bedroom to keep it from "barking" A window in the bedroom was opened and the screen was removed as the shooter tried to shoot Corey but she shot back and survived. The hit was carried out by their own son, Nicolas as he had a share of Ted's life insurance The 19 y/o told police he owed his mother 30,000 smackers she had loaned him to start a "business". Digital records also showed that he BEGGED a neighbor to loan him 2600 of which he never paid back as well and she threatened to tell his parents on the unpaid loan. 21 y/o Johnny Roman Leon III was the hired hitman who carried out the murder for hire plot Nicolas is sitll in prison while Jaclyn is out on bail....but Corey, the mother believes her son is INNOCENT Police said they are working with the Shaughnessy family over the last several months as they mourn the loss of Ted and said they don't believe the allegations are consistent with the "young man they come to know". Nick and his wife had been living with his mother since the tragedy occurred as well as she stands firmly behind her son Nick had less than $2 in his bank account as it's unclear what kind of business he tried to run and he owend a lot of money to many people for his failed business venture. Well, obviously not Angieslist, but you shouldn't rule out Craigslist... Otherwise it's usually a guy who knows a guy. There are brokers of criminal services as well, such as in the case of organized crime. The important thing, though, is shopping around because you want to get a good rate. =p tbh, there was one guy who ended up getting busted because he argued on price.
