When I got my first real job working for someone that wasn't family, my income the first year was around $6,500 (started half-way through the year, so would've probably been around $13,000 to $14,000 if I had worked the full year).

Second year was $29,000. I worked in the IT space, got in because I knew a thing or two about computers and had a friend who needed a contractor for a few jobs. I hit those jobs out of the park and they gave me more work, and it kept me really busy.

Curious to see what other CEmen's income was like when they started out working.

I took my first job at 15 years old stocking shelves at a gas station for $15 a night.

I only worked like two hours a night tho and only like 3-4 days a week because I split the responsibility with another kid

Kind of a stealth brag topic for some people, but I made like $28k/year when I worked at a local health department.

Residency salary was $48k/year but that was for 80+ hour weeks

Unless someone's first job out of college was finance or banking on Wall Street during the height of the housing bubble, I don't think it's stealth bragging for anyone lol. First jobs tend to be crappy.

14 working at Roller Skate Land as a DJ and floor guard lol. I'm guessing I made like 7-10k or something max. Worked 5 hours Friday, 8 Saturday and 4 Sunday. About 6.75 an hour give or take. So whatever that is.

17 I went into retail for a year then Subway for two years. So I'm guessing 20k give or take for my first full time jobs.
