splashtop (remote access to my macbook if i only want to bring my ipad)
airdisplay (use an ipad as a second display for my mac, good while traveling)
deliveries (tracks deliveries, before it was integrated into everything purchasing made sense)
apollo (the best reddit app, worth it to avoid adverts alone)

I've never purchased anything from the Android store

A nice little interval trainer app for work outs where you can build customised sessions with reps, sets, rest periods etc and it talks you through your workout.

Plex ($5... sure I guess it used to be free but it's worth the money)
Pushbullet (Most features are free but the one I use the most is universal Copy/Paste and that requires paying)
Wolfram Alpha (Yes you can technically use the website for free but the app is much better for the mobile device)
ezPDF (By far the best PDF reader on Android, tried various free ones and while they worked they were all slow compared to ezPDF)

I have probably bought some others but those are the big ones that I use the most.
