This would make number 3, after the two last year/early this year. Iunno if anyone remembers me complaining about that back then - one was just a lack of interest, the other nearly gave me legit panic attacks due to her behavior.

<_< Anyone here ever have to deal with shit like this? I gotta figure out some way to make it clear that coworkers are off the table for me. (Ignore what I said in that "would you date a coworker" topic, I'm really not into that.) This isn't some humblebrag shit either - it's just irritating.

Again - not bragging here. If it were three random people on the street asking me, it wouldn't be a problem. It's a bit different when it's people you have to work with in a really small store. It creates an awkward, uncomfortable atmosphere. (And I'm not lying about that second one being crazy - it's no exaggeration to say she may have been planning some sort of assault against me.)

I get why people would think this is some stealth-bragging but, nah.
Not interested in dating, can't be bothered to try hooking up - I can't call myself asexual, and my aromantic tendencies are likely wrapped up in emotional damage I'm trying to fix. But right now I'm more than content to be single.

I guess a fair bit of people think I'm way more attractive than I think I am, and my personality has slowly shifted away from "anger issues and caustic sarcasm" to "dry wit with an actual capacity for compassion sometimes."

I didn't start my process of self-improvement with getting action in mind, I still have no real interest in dating or hooking up. I started it because I was reaching my breaking point a few years back and I needed to do something constructive to prove to myself that I wasn't completely worthless. (There was nothing unhealthy or harmful about my habits, if that last part might suggest it.)

When I said "actual capacity for compassion" I was saying I know how/when to turn off the sarcasm and be real with people. I know where the line is and when not to cross it - and when to cross it, if it'll make for a good moment. Maybe you're right but, iunno. This woman in question has told me she thinks I'm a sweet guy already.

If you do end up seeing what I look like it'll be in a PM'd picture at some point. This board in general is never gonna see. (And I'll reiterate I don't view myself as favorably as others seem to. It's frustrating, trying to discuss this when I have legit self-image issues, because it comes off like I'm trying to brag but I'm not. This whole situation is just really weird to me.)
