If I know that I want to buy my leased car, do I have to worry about the mileage limit? I want to make sure I won't get charged out the ass for the mileage limit if I end up buying the car.

Most people end up buying their leased car because they went over their mileage limit.

Well, that's good. I definitely want this car, and got a hell of a good deal on the lease(I'll only end up paying 1k extra for leasing and buying the car versus buying it outright, and since I only need to finance about half of the car's value in 3 years, I'll actually spend less than what I would've if I bought it right away).

Keep thinking that, while I spend less money on my car and get to keep it. People that don't do their research and just parrot what old people say(leasing used to be a really shitty way to buy a car back then) are the real suckers.

Actually, buying new is better for people with crappy credit. The banks noticed that more people care about the new cars they get(keep up with payments, instead of just abandoning the car), so they're more likely to approve them and give you better interest rates. I was actually going to buy a used car, but my ex-wife screwed me over and fucked up my credit with some bills. I took her to court and got it all removed from my name, but the damage was already done. I still could've got a used car, but with the fucked my credit I had, I would've saved barely any money getting a used car over a new car. (not to mention used cars tend to have more maintenance problems, etc... I prolly would've actually lost money getting a used cat)

I bought a 2006 Honda back in 2014 for 2.5k which ended up being 5k with Taxes. It had 231,673 miles on it. I got an oil change 2 months afterwards, got the power steering leak repaired and my brakes changed all in one year. I haven't had any issues other than the typical oil change and alignment fix ever since then. I've spent a total of 2k on it so far in repairs.

I don't need some fancy, dance-y souped up car just to get to somewhere.

You're not buying it, you're renting it. And you don't get to keep it you have to give it back. Wtf are you talking about?

If you had any reading comprehension whatsoever, you would've seen that I'm going to buy it after the lease. The amount I'll end up paying will be less than what I'd have ended up paying if I bought the car outright. That was included in the topic too, not my fault you don't have any reading comprehension whatsoever.

Turns out most Americans live in places where you have to drive a lot. But thanks for your input.

Yeah, I'm going to own this car for 10+ years, and the chances of that happening with a car I can buy for 5K or less is slim to none. Also, I don't need all the headaches that will most likely come with a car that old. If I get stranded on the side of the road by myself, it's like w/e, but I have a baby I need to worry about. That's just too big of a risk to take. Plus, all the features that came with the car is pretty nice and will definitely make it worth owning for 10+ years.

I can respect your point of view there. That's good logic and while I don't necessarily follow it myself because I'm okay with lesser quality, I see why it's important to you. What boggles me are the people who lease new cars like every 3 years.

My parents do that, but my dad used to make 160k, and pretty sure he still makes around 100k, with my mom making a small amount to supplement it.

Man, if I made that much, I'd restore some 70s vehicles. Haha, good for them though.
