Three more old anime have been added to Crunchyroll too if anyone is interested. Eden of the East and Princess Jellyfish both look like they could be good. As for Disgaea... the fact that I didn't even know Disgaea had an anime probably isn't a great sign.

I don't think I'll keep up the habit of commenting on Hunter x Hunter every day but I'm focusing on it for a bit right now so I'm actually watching enough episodes in a row to have things to say. Spoilers for up to episode 80.

Man, things are getting dark, starting with those poor kids getting killed and with no signs of stopping. These chimera ants do not fuck around. Still, I get that the queen is creating weird animal monsters based off different genes, but... where are the clothes coming from? The alligator has a karate shirt, the chameleon has a track suit, another has a cross necklace. The murderous koala has an adorable little business suit. Was it born with it or did they find a tiny suit that someone on the island owned for some reason and they decided to give it to the cute koala? I have so many important questions about this.

Oh, hey, it's Ponzu! I liked Ponzu in the exam arc so it's nice to see her ag-... oh. Well, bye Ponzu. Jeez, if the ants eat that bow dude and learn nen this is going to become an international catastrophe. I'm sad that I'm trying to work my sleep schedule back so I can't watch more right now. This arc has been amazing so far and I've barely started it.

EDIT: One final comment but man, Kite's team has some of the dumbest names ever. I mean, Stick Dinner?

Aw yeah Chimera Ant. Best HxH arc imo, though I've also found it's surprisingly divisive along fans. Also I love the koala lmao. Logical character designs be damned

For the record I am actually a huge fan of Princess Jellyfish. I can't really explain why, but it's just a really well crafted show I think.

Still haven't seen Eden of the East somehow lol

Basically just giving the production team more time to not pressure them since they want to keep it as close to season 1 quality as they can even with a different studio

Which is kind of a catch all reasoning tbf but kind of makes sense given these specific circumstances

Divisive in the best way, where everyone loves the arc but different people say different parts of it are the best. Like with Monogatari characters <3

I think divisive is misleading because the vast majority do consider it amazing. It just has it's detractors, like anything does.

Ill rank what I can remember, but I dont think I know ALL of the girls in it since Im sure more were added after where I quit.

I think I got them all. Nobody really matters after the sisters and I could extend that to nobody matters other than Suruga.

I dont think the sisters did basically anything in what I saw so theyre mostly that high for design alone because a nothing with decent design is better than an actively boring or bad character

I barely remember anybody from it since I think the last time I saw the series was 2011? Somewhere around there. I feel like I was already watching HxH by the time I was dunzo forever with Monogatari so it had to be around that time
