Some group of people, usually Jewish, have turned from God, and now they're being punished for it by God. There seem to be a bunch of books in the middle of the Bible like this. From what I know of the Bible, the only real exceptions to this description (in the middle of the Bible) are Proverbs and Ecclesiastes. I see why a lot of people don't find the book interesting. The middle books are really repetitive. I won't deny, though, Proverbs is a great book, but funny and true. --- It has been 0 days since something interesting happened. DevsBro 08/04/18 1:59:58 PM #6:	There are definitely some hard books to read. Leviticus, parts of Exodus, Numbers, the minor prophets, it's hard to keep your mind focused. Part of it was the way they wrote at the time, but also I guess there's something about the presentation that reveals the glory of God. Still working on what that might be. Funny you mention Proverbs. I started trying to memorize the entire book back in 2016. Right now I'm on chapters 27 and 28 of 31, and I've learned so so much. I don't really know what woukd be funny about it though. Of course, it's been kind of frustrating when even at the end of the two months I give to each chapter, I know it flawlessly, after a few months it's like... what was 18:13 again? Generally I'll remember a verse or passage as it's relevant and sometimes the reference that goes with.
