He was looking for a reason to claim. The question is... WHO jumped off him right away when he claimed watcher? Town would jump off a power claim of that until the counter. Was there even time between the claim and the counter? Who pressured the "spellcheck"? Any pressure made after the watcher claim is entirely pointless. Town would have backed off. And everyone in the game would have jumped on to look good upon counter. Wasn't scare the one asking to clarify if a counter was made? That questions to me if you were trying to out a claim and gauge whether you had to jump on to get on his lynch early knowing he was dead. He asked this a bunch. I told him to stop looking at things that way because it is a scummy outlook and posting style to be worrying about his look. So, I could see him claiming that and asking his team what they thought about it and how to go about it. I'd imagine the only real response he got was... well if one doesn't exist you live. If it does, you are dead. I don't know what else you can say to it. The thing I just do not get is that if he is actually Scum Vanilla how he somehow thought claiming that with 20 unclaimeds was a smart idea. Especially, when it is a basically guaranteed role to be in the game if a Ninja exists. It is hard to weigh sometimes between poor play and logical play with Alakazam. Logically, he never should have claimed that unless he is scum watcher. He is going to be expected to have results all game at this point. That is going to be a basically impossible task and a noose at every point. That is why I was super unsure how the fuck as scum he could have claimed that unless he was town vanilla just trying to look like power to draw something. But, I mean, it happened, I guess, so I dunno. If he isn't scum watcher, I am flabbergasted. You have to almost look at that point to whether or not he was offed on purpose to make people better at that point... but... again... where do you draw poor play and logical play with him? Detective is arguably stronger, but Watcher has so much power, especially if you can get favorable scenarios on night 1.
