I'm on episode two and the second hand embarrassment is forcing me to pause over and over again.

Does anyone else have this kind of problem with this or other shows?

The Office was worse when it came to cringe humor

Parks and Rec followed the same formula for season one but changed like, season two and especially season three

Other shows I can think of include Louie (especially now) and Curb

Season 1 is near universally considered subpar, but it's only 6 episodes so whatever.

I'm occasionally afflicted with second-hand embarrassment when watching shows, but I can't say that Parks and Rec did that with me. Curb is definitely a great example.

Just skip season 1, season 2 is watchable and the show just picks up steam from there

some people don't like the last season but I think it's fine (Remember I said that star ocean 4 was also fine so take that with a grain of salt)

S1 is subpar. The tone shifts dramatically in S2.

s2 is good, s3 is where it becomes great. s1 is bad but very short and sets up the characters somewhat (their personalities evolve a good deal after season 1, but it sets up the backstories for people)

I'm one of the only people who think S1 is fine (and the last episode of S1 especially still holds up imo) but S2 is definitely where they started to get into their stride and then S3 and on is gold. Basically taking out a certain character dramatically increases the quality of everything else.

i like season 1 fine but the final episode/2-1 are where the show takes off. seasons 2 and 3 of pnr might be my favorite seasons of the 4 shows you listed.

Second hand embarrassment from these shows is definitely thing for me, but like everyone said it's because of S1

Honestly, S1 is underrated though. Everyone in the cast is really on poiint, particularly Tom and Ron.

It's Leslie. They were trying to make her a female Michael Scott and it didn't work. Since the show followed her around every where it made every scene pretty annoying

But everyone else is great
