I still have it, just not my metal dance pad (just the cheap ones now).

Waiting for Beat Saber on PSVR I intend on playing both at once.

I hope one day they will update beat saber to be used with a dance pad as well, so you can actually
play songs using both at the same time muahahaha.

Only in the sense that it's the most mainstream rhythm game, and it's only dead because it got milked to death with multiple releases every year. There's still a niche for quality rhythm games, just not much drive to make them because they are niche titles (especially ones that require extra peripherals) and therefore aren't likely to make all that much money.

Not only do they own DDR, but also Beatmania, DrumMania, GuitarFreaks, etc.
And Konami doesn't want anything to do with any of them anymore.

I'd rather have Pop'n Music or Jubeat become big overseas. Actually, just arcades in general. I miss them.

I never actually found a DDR machine but did find something similar called Pump it Up. Fun games.

I believe there's still a market for decent music games too, it's a genre we shouldn't lose. Although it's hard to find room for a sturdy dance pad at home so we get Rock Band instead. What we need is a few more companies to step in. Konami has discarded a lot of their classics and we know GH was done in by the masters of lazy recycling - Activision.

Sega brought us Hatsune Miku. Not sure who owns RB at the moment. There's Persona Dancing All Night. DJ Max. I guess Thumper fits too. I've a few more on my backlog so they're out there if you look.

There was dance Central and the Wii dance games. Not spastic techno pop though.
