CNN's latest piece on global warming is both worrisome and also optimistic - we could fuck up the planet but we can also avert the crisis if we act together. One of the issues causing global warming is the weakening of carbon sinks like forests.

So...anyone want to commit to planting trees this weekend? We can each record some video of doing it and share clips here to motivate more people to do it.

CE could collectively plant thousands of trees per weekend. It'd be a good way to get some solidarity going and some motivation for lifestyle changes.

Fuck yeah! I've never planted a tree so there will be some ramp up, but I'm excited! If this topic dies by the weekend I'll make a Tree Planting General.

We can make it a game too. I'll come up with rules for how many points you can earn per tree, etc. Can potentially give out Steam awards. :)

I'd have to find a smallish tree since I already have a tree in my backyard >_>
And probably do it like next year <_<
