2 full years. You will not get harmed in the process of your teleportation. You will be teleported somewhere you will be safe for 7 hours. But still you could end up in the ocean. Because it's been possible to survive in the water for long hours. So would you take the power knowing you have to deal with this for 2 full years? After the 2 years is up you can freely teleport unlimited number of times anywhere in the universe.

- end up in a maintain range, no source of drinkable water or shelter. probably get eaten by a bear or mountain lion, or wolves

- end up in the polar ice caps, no source of drinkable water or shelter. probably get eaten by polar bear or arctic wolves

- end up in desert with no source of drinkable water or shelter, probably die of dehydration

- end up in a jungle with no source of clean water or shelter, probably get eatened or poisoned by some animal or insect.

I've spend a lot of time in the bush and never felt like I was in danger from an animal. And I've seen tons of bears and the odd wolf cougar bobcat and badger too.and you can easily make 7 hours without water if it's not super hot and sunny.

That's a tiny chance not a probability.

The ocean or a blazing hot desert with no water or shade would be the real problems.

Just because its possible to survive in the ocean doesnt make it safe. A better example would be to wind up in a non-hostile town in a foreign country where nobody spoke English. You could just sit on a bench or wait in a church.

Well since you can time it. and I'm assuming whatever you have gets transported with you so you don't just appear naked somewhere, I could make that work. Just be sure to have my survival kit/inflatable raft with me every 7 hours.

The problem that I think some people are forgetting is that you could theoretically get teleported in the ocean, followed by getting teleported to the middle of the antarctic, meaning you will die fairly quickly of hypothermia.
