CHILLICOTHE, Ohio
A baby is doing okay after it was born in a bathroom at a Chillicothe Burger King on Friday.
Chillicothe police responded received a call at 2:30 p.m. on a report of a man who was passed out in a vehicle and a woman who was with him had overdosed.

When officers arrived, they found Zachary Frey, 26, of Chillicothe, passed out behind the wheel of a running vehicle. Officers attempted to wake Frey, who they said was drooling, having slurred speech, pinpoint pupils, and kept nodding off, according to a police report.

Another officer and medic went into the women's bathroom where they found Elizabeth Sanders, 26, of Waverly, sitting on a toilet, with a suspected ball of heroin on the floor beside her. Sanders told police she believed she had miscarried.

The report said that the officer looked inside the toilet and saw a newborn infant lying face up. He asked Sanders to stand up, which caused the baby to roll over face down into the water. The medic quickly grabbed the baby and found it was still breathing. The newborn baby was taken to Adena Medical Center and is doing okay.

Frey was taken to Ross County Jail and charged with an OVI.
After Sanders was released from the hospital, she was arrested on an outstanding warrant for theft.

The town's name comes from the Shawnee Chalakatha, named after one of the five major divisions of the Shawnee people, as it was the chief settlement of that tribal division.

Basically, the town is just a dead end where people do a lot of hard drugs to escape their boring lives. There are a lot of these towns in Ohio.
