This is a weird move. The first one barely turned a profit on its production budget, factor in marketing and it probably lost money. Who the fuck thought this was a good idea?

PR toys were the hottest selling toys last year. Hasbro owns the IP now. Easy profit for them. Anyway, I'm glad. It had its flaws to be sure, but I definitely enjoyed the film enough to watch a sequel.

They said sequel to the 2017 film not reboot. And I hope they make a sequel, they have a good cast for the power rangers and a pretty nice set of inclusion (lesbians, autism, black, Asians, whites, latinos etc) I like it

Also, pretty sure I remember reading early plans for the sequel would be introducing Zedd alongside an evil green storyline. I would be 1000% on board with that.

the actor who played zack was 33 in 2017 when the film came out

thats a little too old to play a teenager

also what was with the race lift everyone got?
i mean power rangers was already a diverse group of teens
in fact since they made the red ranger a white guy that means the team is led by a white man instead of by a native american like in the original series (he was light skinned but the actor who played original jason was of native descent)

ziggy and Dr K had such great chemistry all season long and its sweet to learn the actors got married in real life shortly after the season

they were all 20/22 which is nowhere near as weird as someone being 33 and playing a high schooler

and the actor who played jason was 19 so he was a teenager playing a teenager
in season 2 with the cast change the second black ranger was played by an 18 year old johnny yong bosch

If they look the part, they can play the part. When I was younger me and my friends could already tell (even my parents) that the people playing the OG rangers were not highschoolers. At least with the 33 year old, he looks the part. I'll give you with Johnny Young Bosch that he (along with the new rangers that joined mid season) looked more like highschoolers than their counterparts.

Wonder if the brownie points with the inclusion crowd would outweigh the backlash from diehard "Tommy must me a boy" crowd. They could even have "her" have a relationship with Trini.

He already cameos in the first. And shows up for the 10th, 20th, and 25th anniversary episodes.

Enough with the cameos give that man a legit goddamn role to play or leave him alone.

Wish the original six were role models as in the original series. That way, they can introduce Tommy as a delinquent with the tendency to get into fights.

This would explain why she was transferred to Angel Grove (expelled from old school) and would add to the fact that she is a stronger ranger than the rest.
