Or in the cut female darkside ending when Carth returns to the Star Forge to try and "save" you by confessing his love to you. At that point you can say, "You love me? Well then I guess I'll kill you myself for old times sake

Like jesus christ.

It's sort of blah looking back. That was the heyday of morality systems, and it was before we realized that it was literally just "choice A, where you continue the story like a normal human being" or "choice B, where you randomly become a self serving sociopath who likes to punt babies just for fun".

In Jade Empire you can use magic (by killing a magical dragon that has been forced to bleed magical water for years) to force several of your party members to be your slave and you force them to do evil things. Eventually they break free and you kill them.

I'd be inclined to agree in most cases, but in a game where you can become a fullblown evil empire sith lord, that actually fits perfectly imo.

Yeah because he was already enslaved by the villain right? You're just transferring ownership to yourself..

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the game and it was great for the time, but in hindsight, the motivation for being a sith was incredibly flimsy in comparison to the story that drove the lightside story.

Considering the twist and the Star Forge I think the motivations do overall make sense for the story.

Like you're not a complex character (KOTOR 2 tried to change that a bit) but that's Star Wars for the most part.

That's the entire reason I've never been able to do a complete darkside run. I cant bear to kill Jolee, he's mah boi.

Juhani though, I don't give a shit about. I usually kill her off on Dantooine.

Yeah, that's definitely what I was thinking too. More part and parcel to Star Wars in general.

I guess it just seemed a lot more complex when I played it originally, haha.

First mod I installed replaces Juhani with Yuthura from Korriban. Now when you turn her lightside you can recruit her on Dantooine and she takes the place of Juhani
