We're to pick some new flooring for our living room and hallway. Which do you prefer?

Anyone have experience with "floating floors"?

I like the light grey. Also can I borrow 30 bucks?

I'd say the grey is better of the two.

@WrkHrdPlayHrdr

Is there any movement in the planks, once the install is finished? That's my main concern. I don't want to the floor shifting around underneath me.

Does the trim/moulding need to be removed for proper installation?

Not really, no. I mean technically there is going to be some but it isn't like it will mess up the floor or you'll trip and fall. It's going to be a fraction of an inch all around the room to allow the wood to expand and contract with temperature changes.

Depends on how much room there is under it. It may need to be.

What color are they?

Grey looks nicer in the pics but it doesnt mean it will necessarily look nicer in your home.

Also, by floating floors do you mean laminate?

They're brown. We may paint them white if we do grey.

And no, these are considered "luxury vinyl planks"
