the difference with Capcom is that there was never just a street fighter ultimate

Well I imagine it'll be a long time before another. 7 years passed between Melee and Brawl and another 6 for the 3DS/Wii U release, so we might not see Smash come back until next-next gen in like 2026. I genuinely hope that a long lull is the case and they give us a total revamp. Reset the roster, go with the new approach of updates to roster and open notes for balances. Ultimate will no doubt be amazing, but I want more original games by Sakurai. Meteos, Air Ride, and Kid Icarus Uprising were masterpieces.
