is everyone just going to toss them soon, or sell off massive collections for $5-$10 bucks?

i own two funkos that were given to me as gifts and they're currently sitting unopened, in a box in my closet. i've always said they were plastic garbage figures made by lazy people, and people loved to tell me how wrong i was. it finally seems like people are starting to wake up and realize the massive hustle that went down, ok?

bonus: we get to see who the old posters who actually remember remember beanie babies, ok?

i don't remember ever making this topic, but who knows, maybe i did when drunk, ok?

i keep the two i own around only in case my daughter wants them when she's a bit older. they're not bad toys for really really young children, ok?

but the way grown adults used to pleasure themselves to these garbage things, it was pretty pathetic, ok?

I've never been much of a fan of them. But I know people still love them. And they probably will sell for quite a bit. Some are already very expensive. It's all about selling them before all that value is lost... One of the guys I use to play Shadowrun has A LOT. Like a couple walls of them...

I prefer S.H.Figurarts to either of these options.

Figma is my go-to. Nendos are cute and work well depending on the character. The Kirby ones are amazing.

SAS is still my favorite since they do all of the JJBA posables.

What will save Funko Pops are the licenses. People may get bored of gimmicky animals, but someone that has liked Disney movies their whole life isn't likely to change their mind.

I don't like the fact that their bodies look so squat and chunky, and their faces look like little kids.

This too. It's much easier to stop caring for random stuffed animals than figures of your favorite characters.
