Switch version. 10 hours in.

Was this origanally supposed to be a Zelda game before it got rejected by Nintendo? I know Capcom did make Zelda games before. But nobody told me that it was a clone.

Also one of the easiest games I have ever played so far.

While it's organized similar to a Zelda game(or Darksiders or Jak & Daxter or Tak or DMC, etc.), I seriously doubt it was ever planned as one of those. It's just a very popular way of organizing games in order to control their flow.

It is easy, though. Unless you play it on the Wii, but only because the Wii controls are garbage(when they should have been magic, like the Wii controls for Metroid Prime and Resident Evil 4). The dig-a-well minigames are probably the hardest part, and even then not very.

I loved it back on the PS2. But it has been a long time since I played it. I am tempted to get the new release, but the fact that Japan got a physical version and we only got digital bums me a bit. Might just get the PC version instead.

Well, Zelda is my favorite game series. And I loved the combat in Bayonetta. Feudal Japan isn't bad. So, I'll probably like it. I think I'll definitely look into it.

It's absolutely fun. I played it originally on the PS2 when it was first released, and I played the HD remake on my PC more recently and it was still great.

It's also absolutely gorgeous, even on the PS2. A lot of this has to do with the stylistic designs of the characters - it's not photorealistic at all. So its looks hold up a lot better than, say, the earlier Metal Gear Solid or Resident Evil games. There are these cherry blossom trees that, when awakened, purify and cleanse the countryside(essentially opening up new areas to explore), and those sequences are downright breathtaking to watch.

Yeah, no. If this were even remotely true it might have been a half decent game. The combat is complete garbage and the game is fairly terrible overall.

So... it's similar to Zelda because it has similar... what exactly? Tone?

Also, Bayonetta came out 3 years after Okami.

I liked Okami on the PS2, but I am completely baffled as to why it never came out on the DS. The major game mechanic seems almost too obviously suited to stylus/touchscreen type controls. Using the thumbsticks to control the brush always felt wrong.

Clover became Platinum, after it went bankrupt and left Capcom.

And the game is essentaially Zelda, which you all realized when you entered the first dungeon.

It's similar, except for the combat, the story, the setting, the characters.
You know, everything except the feeling.

If I wasn't forced to use my 3DS to go online, since my laptop is in for repairs (cosmetic damage sustained during a fall), I would have countered your argument with several paragraphs, going in depth, as how it's a Zelda clone.

Im digging it but I only ever played the Wii version before and that one... isnt really playable
