Ever had a problem with charging and how the plug-in is positioned?

My PSP was nothing but problems, but I can't recall that specific problem.

If you have to move the cable to charge it, that means the charging port connector's contacts have broken loose. Simple enough to fix. Just a couple seconds with a soldering iron.

I have 2 original chargers and im lucky enough to have an orignal 1200ma battery. When I tried the second charger I guessed the problem likely is with the console.
Ive never taken it apart. And have basically no experience with soldering. I love this thing, i got it this year as my first psp and I dont wanna kill it

Yes I think I may have had that problem. I definitely had that problem with my Game Boy Advance SP.

The battery went to crap, yes, so I have to keep my psp plugged into a power supply whenever I feel like playing any of the games on it.

I found on one of mine (I have a couple for use with homebrew etc and current games) that the yellow plastic spacer on the end of the plug that goes into the PSP was a problem, it charges fine after I removed most of the material so it connects closer to the metal. Also, getting a better capacity battery is a must, the originals weren't fantastic.

I've definitely had this problem, but I've always just assumed it was my charger.

*knocks on wood*

Never had a direct charging issue with any of my PSPs (between my wife and myself, we have all the different versions), though my 1000 stopped reading discs after a good while (and needs to be on the charger, since the battery will no longer hold any charge).

Still have it. 2 actually, the release model and a GoW (black/red) one. Last time I saw it the battery was swollen so I'd need a new one of those.

I don't have this problem with mine, and it is probably 5 years old by now. Tho I have a hard time turning the damn thing off instead of putting it in sleep mode.
