Another year, another SMFAS. One of the the strongest top 10s I've seen in a while, with a very deserving winner.

As usual, the top 20 will make it into next year's contest. What new shows will make strong debuts? (Cmon give Goblin Slayer a chance!)

Pretty good votals this year, I thought with board activity down we'd see a decline, so this is good for me. Cos this ain't really a top 10 Save My.

The biggest beatdown we've ever seen. From the New World was always going to be Haruhi's easiest opponent in the final and once Monogatari went down, it was all about by how much Haruhi would win.

The universe is safe again! Haruhi has finally ascended to take its crown as the best anime. It has performed well every year prior and this year, nothing could stop it once the ball got rolling.

Oh huh, I seem to remember Baccano beating Steins;Gate by a lot more than that.

Maybe I'll watch Monogatari over the next year so I can support something else once Steins;Gate goes out. I liked Bakemonogatari a lot too so we'll see I guess. I'll probably look up From the New World as well and see what that's all about.

Thanks for running the contest, voltch - all these years on Board 8 and I pretty much never participate in anything - well, other than Babe Brawl... and the B8 hockey pool, I guess... in any case, this was fun.

I am adding FTNW, MHA and yes, begrudgingly, Haruhi to my "acquire and watch" list. Of course, I have like 10 series that I got over a decade ago which I still haven't watched yet, so yeah... but I'll try to get their viewing expedited.

Oh yeah, I forgot about this and just remembered: wasn't Haruhi on the verge of being eliminated at one point, since Leon wasn't around?

I remember someone (voltch?) making a comment on how they were glad they saved it/kept it around since it ended up being competitive, and sure enough it ended up winning the whole thing!

Makes you wonder how different it could've been... would we have gotten a Monogatari victory in the end???

Yeah, it nearly got eliminated one round while I was gone for a week. Good thing it held on!
