From what I've caught of his streams in October, he hasn't done the usual early month thing where he complains that his bills are coming due and he's worried his bank account will be overdrawn, so the best way you can help him is to tip him because he gets that money right away. And that leads me to believe he is loaded right now and actually has the sense to keep his mouth shut about his finances for once. But I fully expect him to get into full begging mode before Christmas.

I can't imagine begging strangers to pay my bills, especially if I was stupidly living beyond my means. And I can't even comprehend the sense of entitlement one would have to possess to feel that the kind of content he puts out absolutely deserves to be funded. Again, these are reasons why I find him so fascinating. I look at Phil and think to myself, "How can a guy like this be real?"

Street Fighter and SoulsBorne are the only games that bring in the views. Every new game he's played in the past several months has underperformed.

Phil should stick to fighting games, especially SF because that is what usually gains him the most traction.

He should just brush up on his SFV skills, and make that the main event on his channel, and stream other games on the side every now and then. When you look at the most popular streamers, they almost always play one game exclusively, or have an exclusive theme (Speedrunning, Soulsborne, etc).

By playing everything under the sun for less than a week, there is no reason for people to stay beyond what they came for, and this kills viewer retention.

He could be actually midly succesful/popular if he would just adapt.

With most of the new games he plays, the goal seems to be to get through the game as quickly as possible, to the point that he will delete the game as soon as he's beaten it. Plus, we all know that he tends to shit all over any game he plays. Combine these factors with his how negative he is towards people, his constant talk of money, his lengthy prestreams, and the overall toxic environment of his stream chat, and you end up with an experience that is going to turn off most potential new viewers. Sure, he can continue to do things this way because his core group of supporters will always bail him out, but if he wants to actually grow his channel and bring in new viewers, he needs to implement some major changes. But unless he finally realizes that he himself is the problem, he's never going to change or improve.
