Davis told MSNBC that not only does Cohen's guilty plea to campaign finance violations on the direction of Trump implicate Trump in the crimes, but that Cohen has completely flipped.

He said he will provide Special Counsel Robert Mueller with evidence that Trump worked with Russia to sway the election.

Unlike Manafort he only worked for Trump, not the Russians. There is a reason why Cohen flipped and took a plea deal and Manafort went forward with the trial. He would rather go to prison than find out what the Russians would do to him.

Unless he's going to tell a story that corroborates the allegations made against him in the dossier (which he won't be doing based on his lawyer's comments to Bloomberg), this will amount to nothing substantial. Just the words of a disgruntled ex-employee who has an axe to grind.

it depends on what the evidence is. if it's simply the word/testimony of a proven liar and criminal that won't go nearly as far as recordings, etc. and we know that Cohen was smart enough to record meetings with people he was involved in criminal conspiracies with. if he has a tape documenting Trump's activity in the collusion, hooooooo boy.

That's totally not the impression that Davis is giving with his vague comments to the media. It appears to be just his word -- the word of a man who has an ax to grind with his former employer. If there were tapes I'm sure Lanny would be playing them right now for CNN. He already did this with the tape involving a payoff to one of the women. There's nothing stopping him. Besides, he also said, "I'm not saying this is a smoking gun".

Remember, Cohen and his lawyer have already walked back on the allegation that he and Trump knew about the Trump Tower meeting before it happened, reaffirming his sworn senate testimony. He threw Russia-Trump mud, and it didn't stick once already. Of course, Lanny is now claiming that he and Cohen weren't behind this leak, but he never once challenged its accuracy despite having many opportunities to do so. My guess is that Cohen didn't inform Lanny about his sworn senate testimony done under oath when he came up with this story, and when Lanny found out, he advised him to drop it entirely out of fear of more charges.

Well if he's removed from office on a serious enough charge, Pence won't be taking over. I guess we will see what happens.

There's no way Pence is clean in all of this. He'd have to be a bigger moron than Trump to have not known anything that was going on, and doing nothing to stop it is aiding and abetting which makes him an accessory.
Worst case scenario is Ryan briefly takes office and appoints a new VP before resigning to take up whatever executive/lobbying offer he already has lined up.
