Board 8 > Octopath Traveler Post-Game Question *Spoilers

Absolutely loving this game, far more than I ever thought I would. I seriously thought I'd seen everything there is to see in the JRPG genre (after having beaten nearly 200 of them) but this game kept proving me wrong.

An open-world 2D JRPG with very interesting self-contained character stories and an engrossing battle system that keeps you on your toes and mechanics that are very satisfying to exploit. Not to mention how vibrant the world is despite being in 2D (I'm one of those 3D >>>>>> 2D guys) with character sprites.

Anyway, I've just beaten Ophilia's fourth chapter and I'll likely be done with everyone's in a day or two.

I'd like to know the best possible team to tackle the post-game shrines and the Secret Final Boss. Right now my main party has been Ophilia (main), Cyrus, Olberic and Therion but I doubt they are the ultimate team. I heard really good things about H'aanit and Tressa when combined with the Advanced Job Classes.

And which Advanced Job Shrine should I go for first?

Suggestions please.

As far as ranking the stories (Ophilia completed, everyone else ch.3 completed)

Primrose > Olberic > Ophilia > Cyrus > Alfyn > H'aanit > Tressa > Therion

Everyone's stories range from good-great to Primrose's amazing but Therion's is kinda bad although I love his character.

Definitely my 2nd favorite game of the year so far, behind only God of War.

Several warnings
1. Level up ALL characters. There is no perfect combination of jobs, but you cant go to the final boss with just a party of four.
2. My preferred order for the supershrines is Sorcerer > Starseer > Runelord > Warbringer.
The first are easier to exploit and the latter become an insane damage race if you take too long to bring them down. At that point you will want the powers of the first two/three shrines.

You'll want all 8 characters at 65+ with Saving Grace equipped before fighting the last boss.

Right now my highest level character is Ophilia at 51. Rest range from 30-48.

I hope there is a good place to grind because the highest exp I was getting was around 600 in the higher level main game areas.

And I have been doing everything from exploring every optional dungeon to taking on all possible side quests.

You'll get a lot of levels from doing the rest of the optional dungeons, unless you have Evasive Maneuvers equipped all the time.
