I got the unlocked Galaxy Note 9... Went to Sprint to get it activated.
Sprint: We can't activate this phone on our system. You need to call Samsung to figure out why. Me: OK I'll do that. *Drives to Verizon* Me: Hey, I'm trying to get this phone activated and Sprint said it wouldn't work on their system. Verizon: Well, both Sprint and us use CDMA. So if it doesn't work on their network, it probably won't work on ours. But let's try it any way and see what happens. They got a SIM card from one of their demo phones and put it in mine. Phone call worked. So they set up an account for me and I'm now on Verizon. I've been meaning to switch to Verizon for a long time any way... I've just been tolerating Sprint's crappy network. I've been with Sprint since I had my 1st cell phone back in 2001, and I've also had the same phone number. My phone number has been ported to Verizon and I'm done with Sprint forever. --- ... before we were on the same phone plan, my wife was on sprint and i was on verizon. the difference in quality between the two networks was massive. places where my wife would have no reception in that were dead zones for her were places where i'd have a 5 bar connection, calls with her used to drop all the time but never with anyone else, etc.
verizon is expensive but their network is worth it imo, been happy with their service for years --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

Yeah, I can definitely tell the difference between the two networks already just using different apps. This is gonna be a great thing, I think. This is much more than a 1% difference like Sprint claims... Unless that 1% is really just that big of a difference.
