TBH Maechen getting to soft boots is in itself a victory

lol, I pretty much carried Maechen through the hard boots, especially the FoG rounds, and knew that if I missed a round he'd probably be gone.

I'd say it was a small victory that he got through hard boots, but considering he's almost definitely not going to be nominated in next contest, this soft boot pretty much becomes a hard boot by default.

However, just like Basch missing the contest was probably a good thing for me as far as being able to prioritize other things, Maechen's departure here does the same thing for me.
