hate to admit I'm not surprised at all. not because of anything about board 8 in particular, more just because this is divorce culture. I generally don't expect any marriages to last... and aside from like, my grandparents, I don't think I've ever actually seen any marriages that did last

As far as kids went i never fought child support, the kids were all i cared about when it came to this. I proposed a schedule that was fair and balanced which gave us each 7 nights in a 2 week period, she fought back saying she couldn't live that way and how dare i take her kids from her. I agreed to give her 1 additional night (so my weekends ended sunday before dinner instead of Monday Morning) so i get 6 nights and she gets 8 every two weeks. She accused me of taking as much time with them as i did because it would lower my CS payments, i assured her that the CS payments were never a concern and that i love my children and want them to have a father in their life.

Wait yeah, what the fuck? At most you should be paying 1 day's worth of child support per 2 weeks. How much did she take you for?

the system is based on both parties income, percentage of time with the children based on nights ( in this case its a 3 - 4 split in her favor), amount of money paid weekly for the kids, for instance, i pay for their health insurance in full (hiwever we split medical costs), etc.

The CS is not a lot but based on the system the courts made its my legal responsibility and ill pay it to her for them. Of course im still buying clothes food toys and so on so in the end i think its stupid but ill do whatever is necessary for the girls.

Dont regret the marriage because it gave me the two most amazing little girls.
