I'm playing it on Steam and in the very beginning

They mention that Dr. Doom is the leader of the group of super villains I am supposed to face

So why is Dr. Doom able to be chosen for my team??

Ok so the steam version will just have that DLC?

That could be interesting for storyline events lol

He and other villains were added later as DLC, so the more recent Steam release just includes all the content. It was one of the better early applications of DLC content since they actually waited until after the game was popular and sold well to further expand it instead of expecting everyone to be on-board with DLC day one unlike MUA2, ugh

I'm sure the complete Steam version is probably fine, but back when it was coming out it had a preorder-only character, and tons of DLC planned from day one. The game ended up bombing because of it and all the DLC that ended up coming out was pulled from the online stores after only a couple months.
