But as the movie progressed they learned that just thinking about sex wasn't the way to go as they seriously developed real feelings for them and wanted to do things the right way. its the classic story of an immature high school kid facing real life and learning how to be an adult....

I havent watched the movie in a long time and just booted it up and forgot how much of an ass Seth was and how the general premise is him using shady tactics to get laid because Emma Stone's character is out of his league and he has no other recourse to fuck her. Also he treats McLovin like shit the entire film for no real reason.

So I just thought I'd comment on it. But I dont take fictional things seriously. >_>

Sorry if that seemed that way. That wasnt my intention. I just hadn't seen the movie in a long time, really not since I was in early college and it was just weird seeing it through a new lens so to speak. I wasnt gonna go on a tirade about it, like I said I dont really take movies like that or stand up comedians too seriously. I just never thought about the movie that way until I'm seeing it now as I'm older and I just thought "holy shit I didnt see how fucked up this was when I was younger" and I posted about it. I wasnt condemning the movie or anything lol

How about Project X? The movie about a teenager pretty much starting a city wide riot for high school points and the only punishment he faces for his actions is being grounded? This shit isn't new, these are teen comedy movies, Superbad at least didn't let the kids get away with asshole behavior and get rewarded for it, they got rewarded by being decent people, didn't nerd boy even get to fuck two girls at once by the end?

I feel old remembering hte American Pie films, the only thing that taught people is that despite idiotic egotists really do peak in high school and if they're unlucky enough not to come from a rich family they tend to have trashy adulthoods.

I agree. But they went in there with the malicious intent to get then drunk specifically because they didnt think they'd fuck them sober. Which is obviously different.

It was funny though. Seth got no action. Evan got some but the girl puked so he aborted. McLovin got some ass (well, started to until the cops showed up). So like, the people with the most malicious intent got the least ass and the people with the least malicious intent got the most ass.

Turned into a bromance by the end. Rogen and Hader as the cops made the movie imo

Yeah, not direct, but I'd still say Paul Rudd's family was a pretty big part of Knocked Up and they continued their story, though shifting completely away from Rogen and Heigl's characters.

Though I feel Apatow just wanted to make another movie with his wife and kids in it.
