I just don't. With my tiny OCD I would ignore other things to try and go high. Realizing this and that it could get in the way I deleted all my saves and I'm going to trade the game in. It's too.... much for me.

I feel like I'd spend a ridiculous amount of time on one planet, building an amazing base, and then not want to leave it behind

I wouldn't call it OCD but I do have a tendency to explore every nook and cranny which tends to lengthen my game times to longer than they should be >_>

The grind for rss is too much. If I could start at mid game work a good slot suit/ship/freighter it would be better but it's just not fun managing inventory space. Especially after they added the nonsense of needing stuff to unlock the stuff you find waking around. You used to get free ship and exo suit upgrades now you need to craft 50 things and it's barely worth the time

You can put a portal so you can always go back from any trade center

Ever since they nerfed extreme storms in a patch, I don't give a shit about this game anymore. The game offers zero challenge now, unless you count the frustration of dealing with a legion of game breaking bugs as "challenge". Might as well play "creative" if I want to play at all. Fuck Sean Murray. After three universe resets he still doesn't know how to balance a survival game.

It's not like you're missing anything when you leave a planet. Most of the way the game is designed is super copy/paste. Only a few planets will stick out here and there, that's the real goal. To find them.

I hate how they force you to grind endlessly for launch fuel where you have to go through multiple just to make it. And the resources needed are even more abundant than they were in prior versions. So why force us to make launch fuel at all? There's no challenge in obtaining these resources unlike with Plutonium in the Foundation update (if you didn't properly prepare, you could get stranded due to the scarcity of Plutonium). It's just needless grinding.

Those exotic planets offer nothing but different visuals. No special resources or enemies or unique weather. And because everyone gets a freighter super early and for free (which can visit colored stars where these biomes spawn), you will be able to find these exotic planets much sooner. Before, you had to grind a lot to get the warp drives necessary to find these worlds.
