Wendy Oliver, the Half Sister of convicted 38 y/o White Cop, Roy Oliver has spoken out AGAINST her BROTHER and called him TRASH in a facebook message to the slain boy's mother on FACEBOOK!!

She was the surprise witness for prosecutors against him as she admitted in court that she sent a message to 15 y/o Jordan Edward's mother, sympathizing with the family for their loss and invoking BLACK LIVES MATTER!!

She said "I sent her a message saying that i hoped that justice is served in this case and he gets what he deserves because he took an innocent life and i feel sorry for what he has done to your son as i watched his testimony". Wendy says she hopes her brother goes away for a LONG TIME and is HAPPY with the decision!!.

Wendy said in watching the court proceedings, it moved her to come down to take stand and support the boy's family adding that seeing other witnesses plea for a mininum sentence, including their MOTHER, did NOT convince her to believe the same.

When asked if he deserved the maximum sentence, she said "Yes, i believe so based on the circumstances that happened" which would be LIFE in Prison

Their mom other hand, Linda wants jurors to give him the most LENIENT sentence possible for the sake of her son as she cried uncontrollably for mercy on him and said he is a WONDERFUL FATHER and a good person and to not let him leave them behind, along with his wife, Ingrid. She said she raised her son all on her own with a father in prison and knows how hard it is to be a single mother

Roy was convicted on the murder of Jordan Edwards when Jordan and his friends were leaving a house party that was shut down by 5-0. Roy testified he opened fire on the teens after they got in their car to leave but claimed he was trying to SAVE his partner's life, Tyler Gross because he thought he was in "danger". Tyler testified he didnt' fear for his life and never felt needed to fire his weapon

After the verdict, the Edwards family cheered and clapped as they felt vindication. The conviction marked the first time in more than 40 years since an on duty cop was found guilty. They said this was for Tamir Rice , Walter Scott and Alton Edwards.

Do you think Wendy was "wrong" to NOT side with her brother?.

While the details of the case make his conduct sound indefensible, it's not nearly as indefensible as giving somebody a life sentence within this context. Assuming that you take his badge away forever and block him from legally owning a gun for at least 20 years, he already stops being a threat to society. Our country is generally backwards when it comes to the justice system, giving far longer sentences than pretty much any other developed nation.

Yeah how are you going to prevent him from getting a gun if he isn't in prison for the remainder of his shitty life? Our current gun control laws are so lax that anyone can get a gun regardless of what they have done in the past or what their current mental state is like.

A very good point. Ok, he can have a gun but he's not allowed to kill anyone anymore. Boom, he's no longer a threat to society and doesn't even have to serve jail time. Zuce to the rescue again!

He murdered a teenager, then tried to lie and cover it up.

https://www.npr.org/2018/08/30/643207427/texas-officer-who-fatally-shot-black-teen-sentenced-to-15-years-in-prison

A jury in Texas sentenced ex-police officer Roy Oliver to 15 years in prison for the murder last year of an unarmed black teenager.

Oliver was a police officer in the Dallas suburb of Balch Springs when the incident took place in April of last year. He and his partner responded to reports of underage drinking. Oliver fired his weapon five times at a moving vehicle. Jordan Edwards, 15, in the front passenger seat was shot in the head and killed.

Oliver, who was dismissed by the department, has said he believed the vehicle was moving toward his partner, endangering him.

According to The Associated Press, "Police initially said the vehicle backed up toward officers 'in an aggressive manner,' but later admitted that bodycam video showed the vehicle was moving forward as officers approached. Oliver's partner told jurors he didn't believe his life was ever in danger."

That child had his entire life cut short by a trigger-happy cop. That child's family is irrevocably damaged. 15 years with possible parole in half that time is generous when you stack it up against the loss and grief that family has and will continue to suffer through.

PotD regularly defends this though, apparently running is a death sentence offense.
