I feel pretty shitty everytime I enter the dumb bell and bar room. Except for the women, I think every man is stronger than me. There doesnt seem to be other beginners.

I been to the gym for about 2 months now. I can only bicep curl 10kg 10 reps 3 sets. And bench press 15kg 10 reps 3 sets.

All the other guys all look like ripped fuck boys. The smallest one seem to be able to lift at least 20kg per arm doing bicep curls. Then there are these guys who can do 40-50kg each arm.

I feel like im being laughed at. Lifting light weights and fail at 10th repetition. And my body looks so shit. Im them pear shaped build. Like the tennis player Richard gasguet.

Fuck. I gotta go again tomorrow. I hope it wont be too busy.

If I keep up lifting to failure at every 10th rep. And I do push pull legs push pull legs rest every week.

How long do you estimate it will take me to eventually be able to bicep curl 25kg?

I hope I wont have to endure this embarrasment for like 2 years.

At least the 5lb. weights are not used, to be honest the muscle heads can do in 30minutes would kill you and btw I wish they would leave, they don't need to hang around.

I also always start by running 1 mile at 6 miles per hour. So its 1 mile in 10 minutes. Because I want to lose the bit of fat around my waist. Is it wrong to run before lifting?

I looked on google and it said its better to do the cardio after lifting. I tried that yesterday and I had to stop after half a mile cause I got stitch pains in my heart.

So many questions. I wonder if I should hire a personal trainer. But they are so expensive.

Everyone was a beginner at some point.

Don't just stick with what's comfortable, also. You should be really struggling to hit say.. six reps. Ten is a bit too much but it's within reason, I do ten rep sets for some of mine too. The idea is to keep pushing the weight up week after week. Then make sure you're eating enough and getting enough protein for muscle growth.

Do you feel like you have a decent routine?

Edit: Even for losing fat, weight lifting should be the bulk of your routine. It ends up burning more calories in the long run and adding lean muscle will naturally speed up your metabolism. I don't know if doing cardio after weights actually burns more fat. It makes sense why it would, but that could also be bro science. The reason I do my cardio after weights is to save my energy for the lifting which I feel is the most important.

Hiring a personal trainer for a few sessions can be worthwhile in the long run because they can guide you a bit, set you up with a routine/teach you different exercises and proper form. Maybe even a bit of nutritional advice too. By no means do you need to stick with them for months or years, it can be just to get an idea of what you're doing.

Nice, that's damn near how I do my splits too. Except I do a little ab work every day (they seem to heal up pretty fast, faster than other muscle groups) and moved shoulders to leg day so I have something to alternate between there. I also do a six day a week schedule.

I just eat my normal diet. Just some rice, fish nearly every day. Some lettuce and celery. Meat wise I eat chicken wings on some days, lean beef and pork chop on others.

Unfortunately I hate fruits so I dont eat them.

I try to eat 2 whole eggs and 3 egg Whites after each work out.

You need more protein! Maybe... I'm not a nutritionist or anything.

Just keep at it! You're already doing better than the people who don't even go into the gym.

You eat like a bird. Eat the 5 eggs whatever time a day and make sure you have meat with every meal (fish and eggs count as meat lol).

Also, anyone who curls 40-50k is generally an idiot using terrible form.

Also no one cares how small you are. Everyone is there for themselves.

No, it's good to warm up your muscles before lifting. But, there are two rules of thumb here. Some like to save cardio for after lifting, so they don't deplete their energy before lifting. As long as that mile isn't taking too much out of you, you should be fine. If it is, maybe do some light jogging for a few minutes before (or elliptical, biking, etc) and save your intense cardio for after lifting.

Experiment with it, and you'll find what's better for your own personal fitness level/goals.

Consider adding whey protein shakes to your regimen (unless you're on a tight budget). It's just a good easy way to get extra calories and protein into your diet, especially good for use after a workout. Just mix a scoop of whey in some milk (can use water too, but you really want the extra protein and calories and they just taste better with milk).

Typically you want to eat more than you would normally to gain strength and muscle, with an emphasis on good protein sources (eggs and meat obviously being the best natural sources, milk is good too if you like it and don't have issues with dairy).
