For no reason, I invested everything in Luck. Should I also take the Wild Wasteland trait? It says it makes the game wackier. I'm curious because I know some RPGs have traits or abilities you shouldn't take the first time around, but I don't know if that applies here.

Take whatever would make the game more fun for you. New Vegas on a normal difficulty isn't super difficult. Wild Wasteland is perfectly fine to take.

Also, it surprised me to see that you have a limited number of saves.

Wild Wasteland is kind of underwhelming, all it really does is add a couple of "wacky" things here and there throughout the game.
