And then the better classes had teachers who were lively and interesting. My vote goes for foreign language. I didn't want to take it, wasn't planning on using it, and actually (after studying the wrong material for some tests) I dropped the class and improved my average. Go ahead and laugh, I think it's funny. Want more? My best grade was for a project where we had to teach the class 'something'. How to play a sport, cook a meal, just anything to speak in Spanish in front of the class. "Why do you think such-and-such?" I don't think such-and-such. I have no reason for thinking such-and-such other that it was covered in class and I don't believe everything I'm told. 20 years later it turns out I was right for questioning the validity of Paul Revere's story as it was printed in the class text book. "Given your knowledge of social studies and the map answer these questions. Was Julius Cesar was a great conquer?" My grade in this class suggests I have no knowledge of social studies. Guess I'll have to go by the map alone. The map shows me the expansion of the Roman Empire by century, but doesn't mark anything out specifically for when Julius Cesar was alive. So for all I know the expansion during that century could have taken place after his death. Plus I think he was killed by his own governors so I have to conclude that any territory he did claim he was inadequate at managing. So to answer the question neither the map nor my own knowledge support that Julius Cesar was a great conquer.
