They are nice for classic games but not worth keeping around IMO. Well, maybe for some people, but at this point I've pretty much played all my older games and if I feel like getting any new ones I'll just get them on something that has an HDMI output

My dad uses one to watch TV. He has to use a freeview box though as analogue TV was turned off years ago. He, like myself only upgrades when things break or are needed so eh.

I too am like that. I currently still use a CRT style TV that I have had since early 2008. I am going to have to replace it in the next few months though as the TV is on it's last legs. About a month ago it began to have horizontal white lines covering the top third of the screen when I first turn it on. While most of these lines vanish over time, some are starting to become permanent.

Nothing wrong with having that mindset. It took me ages to upgrade to a HD TV and even then it was because my old TV died. I don't feel the need to upgrade TVs on a regular bases.

I'm so lucky when I snatched mine from a goodwill about 5 or so years ago. Ever since then, I saw a decline in them. I also managed to get mine for fifty cents! It's not in mint condition or anything, but it is in usable condition making it worth the price by far.
