They may be stating facts, but do you really care so much about this stranger's health, or are you just using that as an excuse to insult them? --- Who's your favorite character from "Bend It Like Beckham"? Opinions can't be factually true in the context that this thread is talking about. An opinion is only true in the sense that you hold it. That definition remains true regardless of whether or not you are correct. If, for instance, I see a black person and think "that guy's probably a coked-up criminal", that is prejudice, even if it turns out that the guy actually is a coked-up criminal. It is prejudice because I had no information to reasonably make that assumption and the information I did use - skin colour - is not a reliable indicator of the assumption made, yet I assumed it anyways. --- Kill 1 man: You are a murderer. Now making a decision based on a generalization that is true, for instance if we discovered a few alien races in the universe, and every one we met tried to dominate us and destroy us, eat us, or basically do bad things, we might make the generalization that all aliens are vicious monsters and should be treated very carefully, and while fully armed. We might meet a nice friendly race of aliens, but we would probably be VERY cautious at that point...only eventually letting down our guard (at which point the fuzzy aliens will grow sharp pointy teeth and eat us alive..but that is another story).
