Lol, that story is nuts dude. Probably is real, I'd imagine shit like that happens pretty frequently.

Hard to feel any sympathy for her though. She talks about how he ruined her life, but she was the love of his life for several years and now he's pretty much a broken man and will likely never fully trust women again. It's hard to have a healthy relationship again after going through that. She legit cheated on him for 2+ months too, it wasn't just a one time thing that you can maybe sort of work through or get over.

On the other hand, he pretty much went out of his way to fuck her over as badly as he possibly could and really twist the knife. It was an extended revenge effort and I don't know how I feel about that. I'm more of the "kick them to the curb and get on with your life" type of guy.

it's because like 95% of the issues on that sub are easily solved through one of two things: breaking up because the two ppl are at an impasse, or talking it over with the SO & deciding where to progress from there.

but usually the posters are looking for some kind of creative solution where they dont have to do either of those two things and have to put themselves in a hard/uncomfortable situation. i.e. "my SO wants kids and I don't, how can we continue our relationship without breaking up or talking this over?"

I wasn't really justifying it, but imagine if you're a person who committed a lot to an individual and you've built a relationship of love, trust and dependency only to find out that they were having an affair months after you made a promise to marry them? And not just a one night stand, but a deep meaningful affair where she pretty much stated she liked the feeling of her new partner and it brought her new happiness?

I won't justify his actions but I am damn near not surprised someone would react that way after pretty much having their heart ripped out and stomped on.

It was probably that mixed with wanting to get back at her. I mean at the end of the day, what she does just shouldn't be your concern any more. Is he going to find her new boyfriends for the rest of his life and let them know? At some point you just need to move on

If she had a phone on his plan he can easily access her text messages whether she deleted them from her phone or not. He can also have the carrier restore everything at his request if he got suspicious of her.
