Why is it more justifiable to sell stupid shit than it is to buy it? If companies are given free reign to exploit consumers to get ahead, and we consider that acceptable, why do we then blame the consumer for taking part in that process?

It's a free fucking market. If they want to sell the digital cosmetic shit they make and if someone wants to buy it because they feel invested in the game and want to support the development team so the development team can keep making content, that's their choice.

Though I might have felt inclined to BUY the AX tracks in F-Zero GX since I clearly wasn't talented enough to unlock them and I've never even seen the arcade game.
