Sounds about right imo.

When you guys gonna make the push for this? Capital has already reclaimed a shit ton of time for leisure over the last 75 years, thanks to inventions like the washing machine. Labor's turn to push for a permanent 3 day weekend (and Monday/Friday federal holidays being pushed to Tuesday or Thursday) so we can have even more leisure time.

I'm 100% behind this. Two day weekends just aren't long enough.

When you already work 4 10s, every weekend is :)

We really should be moving towards a society where productivity gains are manifested in reduced hours worked but not reduced compensation.

lets be real here, with advances like smartphones, telecommuting etc there is really no need to be in an office for 40 hours a week. as a society we should be re-evaluating what productivity means in the modern age

Agreed. There will always be jobs where telecommuting isn't possible, but for the most part knowledge workers can definitely be productive remotely.

Sorry not all of us are pencil pushers. The real work still needs to get done son.

Anyway, I work 4/10s, and prefer 4/12s if I can get them.

I get 7 days off in every 2 week period. Not consecutively, monday-thursday is 2 days on, 2 days off, and friday-sunday alternates between working it and having it off. I'm very happy with it, although the trade-off is I work 12 hour shifts.

I have unlimited PTO at my job and I'd still kill for a 3 day weekend every weekend.

In fact I'd probably be happier with 3 day weekends every weekend + 4 weeks PTO + a few sick days rather than unlimited PTO.

While still working 80 hours every 2 weeks?

I work a 9/80, so a 3 day weekend every other week. Means regular days are longer though.
