Way too long, I don't think I can stomach a run through the game again. II and III, I probably would, but not the first one.

I forgot about this, tried playing through 1 a few months ago and it was the worst. My biggest problem is that Geralt walks at the pace of a geriatric man.

I think this describes turn-based RPGs to a T for me. There is good stuff about them to remember, but I find so much about them to be tedious and boring. Luckily it's so tedious and boring that it isn't really part of what you remember about it.

Bought the HD remaster thinking they'd fixed it, but they didn't.

I just played this, there is an inverted option. Sounds like maybe you only played it right when it came out. The option is kind of stupid though because it doesn't affect the flight controls, which are tied to camera inversion for some reason.

I didn't think the game was very good though. When did you first play it? Feels very much like an early-2000s game in a bad way, not sure you'd be as impressed going back to it.

Yeah I played it when it first came out. I'll have to fire it up and see if they patched it

Friend and I replayed that few years ago through alternative means. Was actually more enjoyable that time when I actually knew to level up my magic. Started playing Seiken Densetsu 3 after that but didn't get far with it.
