Real talk though Devil Trigger is already probably the best song the series has ever had. Even if this is underwhelming (and it sucks cause it's for our beloved Uncle Dante,) we'll still be 2/3rds awesome if V ends up with a good theme!

The instrumentals aren't even so bad even if they are a bit meh at parts, but it works for what it is

His vocals just can't do it. And his unclean vocals used to be pretty damn good back in like, 2014. Not sure what happened.

Though the "We are falling the light is calling" portion of "Devils Never Cry" is top tier

The digital pre-order on PSN (and presumably XBONE) comes with a theme that plays a super chill version of Devil Trigger and it's awesome.

I don't normally go digital but I have the other four digitally due to PSN sales so I figured why not, it'll match the others.

Dante's current theme is out of the game and it's going to stop being used in promotional material from now on and they are looking into new music options

I don't think it's out of the game yet? But yea, it's not gonna be used for promotion and they're "evaluating what options are possible for the full game at this point, which is dependent on various factors such as resources"

It's interesting because these themes are definitely trying to be like old DMC themes, which have this screamo vibe to them, but they are also have that super Japanese charm. When you have genuine American screamo, it just doesn't work.
