Apparently they shipped the game with the wrong version of the ending and fixed it in the day 1 patch.

But which do you like more? *spoilers obviously*

basically the difference is they removed the shot of a letter from Natla, the antagonist from the original Tomb Raider on PS1. They replaced it with shots of some paintings and kid drawings >_>

croft manor looks better in the unpatched ending, her study in the final ending looks like a childrens room (not because of the picture, but because of the pastel wall colours).

Without context, the first ending is better.

Like, I don't get what the deal is with the second ending. Is Lara wanting to have a kid or something? Why are they focusing on a playground and like a kids room an stuff?

A rep said they made multiple versions of the ending and that the wrong one got put into the game by mistake.

Personally, I think they changed it so that instead of bridging it to Tomb Raider 1, they leave it open for more sequels >_>

I think on the small table on the left when the camera shows Lara at her desk, under the bow and climbing hook or whatever it's called.

Not really.

The letter doesn't force them to do TR1.

Especially considering TR1 starts with Natla continuing to try to hire Lara with the blatant implication being that she has been ignoring them until they literally send a man to her house.

I think it's more likely that they have DLC in mind.
