Right now I tried helping a customer who looks like shes recently homeless. Shes got some scarring on her face, is wearing layers of clothing, and has a dog on a leash with crap(?)/stuff stuck to its back.

She was asking if we had medication for scabies, (apparently its when you have mites burrowing under your skin.)

I lead her to the skin medication shelves, she starts talking about how she lost her husband and her kids because of her actions (what actions?), then asked me repeatedly if Ive tried surrendering. I asked her what she meant by surrendering and then she said surrender to god. Then she started picking at her skin and started bleeding, saying that she can feel them under her skin.

She then asked if she could talk to God through song, I stayed quiet, then she said never mind thats ridiculous, Im sorry Im being a bit crazy.

And thats when I said Ill be right back, and I went to go take my break instead. Maybe shes still out there. Half an hour to go on my shift. CE, have you thought about surrendering to God?

Okay just got home. So while I was on my break she was talking crazy to my coworkers. She wanted to buy something but didnt have any money so she left.

Before closing time I went outside to get some shopping carts, I notice a van with the door wide open and shes there moving containers around. Two thoughts I had. 1. Oh I guess shes living in her van. 2. I share the road with this crazy lady?

Right before we close she comes in saying she doesnt have a phone and she needs us to call the police. She says her husband has been missing for 3 days and he has dementia. Superviser tells her well call and that she needs to wait outside for the police. We close, she calls.

An hour later, when were leaving we see that shes taken out several boxes from her van, as if this b**** is moving somewhere. As were waiting for the gate to lock she starts talking loudly towards us, saying shes stuck there because she doesnt have a phone. We try to ignore her as if we didnt hear and then kind of rush to our cars to leave. As I get in my car I see a cop car pass right in front and then drive away.

And thats it. Thats the end of that story. Maybe those boxes contain her husband & kids.
