I'm sure all those people who were talking shit about the Pixel 2's display feel real silly now, but it's okay because it's Apple right?

Edit: Apple even striked this video for talking about it and the creator had to bring it back lmao. Holy fuck so much damage control

you don't know it yet but you want a phone with a blue tinted screen

just like removing the 3.5mm jack and adding notches 90% of phones in two years will have a blue tinted screen

in fact you will be willing to pay 50% more for a blue tinted phone over the alternative (and vastly inferior) phones that aren't tinted

Blue shift is significant at certain viewing angles which is typical with lower quality panels (like LG). This can also be indicative of if your phone might be susceptible to other screen issues such as burn in.

Also the phone is the same/greater price than the X which had a top-tier Samsung panel

so far it doesnt seem too conclusive from what I've read

I've seen people on reddit complaining the other way(that their phone is too red/yellow even with TrueTone/Nightshift/etc off) and I think more likely some of these phones just have a bad batch of displays instead of it being a universal problem

also there are no LG iPhone XS/Max displays in the wild yet, every single unit thus far is Samsung so anyone who brings that up should probably be ignored

Yeah, it's a problem with OLED screens. LCDs don't get it, but can get image retention. That usually goes away, though.

I checked out the XS Max at my local Best Buy and it gave too much of a blue light filter tint and it was still sunny outside. Turning it off made it look better, but the photos taken looked too warm.

Idk how the hell DisplayMate is saying this is the best display on the mobile market when it looks so washed out.
