Just went to Taco Bell and picked one of these up for the first time. They're not bad at all

It's pretty good. Haven't tried the chipotle version yet though.

they're taking the penny in oregon :(. it's 6$ and they charge 6.50$ for the chipotle version.
dollar menu is the only reasonable thing left (if they hike prices to 1.60$ apiece) i'm done with them.

chipotle? wat? did they just came out with this? i got it twice but they didn't have a spicy version. had it like a week ago. so either it's just a regional thing and it's not here or they just started doing it.

the $5 box is the main thing i get from there and this is probably the best one they had.

The double cheesy Gordita crunch also looks good.

I just had it.

It was $5.99 for the box, $6.41 after tax. It comes in a square box with two tacos inside with a drink. Anyway, the box is pretty filling, but the actual triple-double has very little meat in it(~10-20% it feels like) compared to the promotional images. It's not anything really "new" on their menu that you can't already get, so imo, the main selling point should be good value.

The taste was alright, but really, it needs a lot more meat, I feel like I got jipped and that's just not something you want after coming out from eating at fast food. I would rather go to McDonald's and sample their $1-2-3 menu (I'd get like 2-3 Sausage Mcmuffins, maybe a McChicken and a drink) for ~$4-5 instead, or just get Taco Bell's $1 burritos and stuff instead (two beefy fritos burritos or something).

Overall, it's an okay/good one time meal, but it's not something that makes me think: "Damn, I'm going to come back and get another one of these later!".

Its okay. You definitely get more value out of it but the main food item inside isnt really that much better than a normal crunchwrap

the taco bell location also matters. some give more food compared to others when it comes to the filling.
i had the double crunchwrap and it was filled with enough meat to keep me happy.
