Proto_Spark 10/01/18 4:12:14 PM #6:	I thought it was OK. I liked that they were kinda crappy people, but they were important parts in them both getting to accomplish their goals. Ryan Gosling got Emma Stone to stop trying to be a "big-time movie star" and get her shot at the big time, and Emma Stone helped Gosling stop being a pretentious dick and start doing things he doesn't like to accomplish his dream. Although Emma Stone's character seemed like a shallow "just wants to be famous" person and wasn't as interesting. The point is that the two characters loved each other, but loved their careers a lot more. Final end sequence was about the sense of loss that accompanied achieving their dreams. I can understand wanting more musical numbers.
